Women's self defense techniques Version 2

Women's self defense techniques

This article provides information on easy and efficient self defense techniques for women. Learn how to protect yourself from criminal aggression.

Groin attacks

Groin attack is usually considered as "No 1 women's self defense technique"; every woman knows how to perform it, but rare will risk to try it facing a real aggression. Groin attacks are quite effective, but most probably they will fail without the element of surprise - because groin is a very sensitive part of men's body, and men usually thoroughly control this area, most likely expecting attack here. On finding out your intention to fight back, assailant won't regret you. So, surprise is the key element of a successful groin attack.
The first variation of the groin attack is accomplished with a knee (pic. 1). Seize both attacker's hands and strike him to the respective area with your knee as hard as you can. Another option - front kick to the groin (pic. 2). This kick is best used when your attacker's legs are spread. Front kick is done in much the same way as you would kick playing a football. Flick your striking leg very quick, without any delay. In this case the best results come from bringing your foot up under the testicles and striking with the top part of your foot.
It is also possible for defending woman to grab and twist man's testicles with a hand (pic. 3). While this women's self defense technique may seen repellent, it will produce the most dramatic effect on your attacker.
Applying of these self defense techniques won't defeat attacker completely - it will only deactivate, stun him for a short time and gives defending woman a real chance to escape, so don't waste such precious time and run as quick as possible!

Breaking hugs (grips)

When assailant grasps your body, strongly press your thumbs on his eyes (pic. 1). This action will make him feel a sharp pain. Don't hesitate and hardly strike his ears with your open palms - this attack will deactivate aggressor for a while. Now brake his grip and run away. This self defense technique works perfectly.
When you're gripped from the front (pic. 2), push off attacker's chin with your both hands as hard as you can. Next, strike his big toe, or shin, or knee with your spike heel, and escape. If you're gripped from the rear, stick your spike heel into assailant's big toe, or leg, and make off. This classic women's self defense technique is not hard to perform under stress, and it really works!
When assailant tries to grasp you from a side (pic. 3), strike his throat with an elbow. Such blows are very efficient - they cause a severe pain. The subsequent groin attack can deactivate aggressor.

Improvised weapons of women's self defense

Folded magazine (pic. 4) can be successfully used for self defense as a short cane. Properly used, such improvised weapon can deliver strong blows to assailant's body (pic. 5).

Surprisingly drawn out, nailfile (classic improvised women's self defense weapon) or other small sharp tool can spoil attacker's plans. There's no problem for defending woman to break even a strong hug. Pictures 6-8 illustrate such self defense scenario.

Shocking it is , I know. Here's how to avoid them in First Place :
--------

General:
  • If you see or sense problems on your way, just change your route and - prepare to run or defend yourself
  • Do not wear conspicuous jewelry when you are walking on the streets alone
  • Do not hitchhike, use buses or taxis instead
  • Do not act or look like an easy target - look confident!
  • Most "fights" are won before they start, and aggressors will back down if you maintain eye contact and are not intimidated by them.

Attacking - When you are in a an unwanted fight
---------------------------------------------------------------

Most women generally scream when they are caught up with a strange criminal-mined man , looking for a fight , to say the least.Screaming doesn't mean harmless and I am sure they would have at least had a scrap at his face.Generally women have a tendency to slap his face before running away.

The result ? If she had been quick , she might have managed to slap his face , but the man , even if he had been struck , his hands would have by then been on you mouth and probably his other hand would have already chocked you and you are overpowered .What you actually need to have done was as soon as you realize that this guy is up to no good ( Take care that you don't take too long ) , IMMEDIATELY , Swiftly place both you hands on his shoulder , gripping tightly , rapidly drive you knee to is groin.Make sure you do this whole thing rapidly especially when you drive your knee up , forget everything JUST DO IT FAST. Gripping his shoulder and driving up your knee SHOULD happen at the same time.It go just right if you practice this with someone.

The catch in this is that it is a bit hard though not with practice. So try this method :

Drive your hand rapidly to the attacker's eyes and punch ! OR
Use your hand for the groin attack
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

IMPORTANT NOTES :
---------------------------------------

1. Do Not Panic.
2.Open your lungs and scream !
3.make sure you practice these techniques
4. And BE FAST !!
-------------
5.Don't loiter around the scene and as you are asking for trouble.RUN as fast as you can until you are in a well-light public place with people preferably untill you are safe in a crowd.

For dangerous situations...

You can prepare against different threats by practicing how to quickly reach the objects and how to use those effectively and safely...

Before using or even practicing these techniques, please read and understand my notice to avoid getting into legal difficulties.

Unfortunately during a confrontation situation your imagination will not usually be fast enough to invent weapons out of these objects, so planned objects should be carried. Always practice how to quickly and effectively use them.

The first idea to prevent confrontation is to avoid the places and situations where these can occur.

Here I'll give you a few very simple examples:

  • Be Aware. Awareness is one of the most important things in Self Defense. By being aware of your surroundings, many threats on the streets can be avoided

  • If you see or sense problems on your way, change route or go to the other side of the road and prepare to run or defend yourself

  • Never wear conspicuous jewelry when you are walking in the streets

  • Never hitchhike, use buses or taxis

  • Never act or look like an easy target

  • Most "fights" are won before they start, and aggressors will back down if you maintain eye contact and are not intimidated by them.

IF YOU ARE OVERPOWERED AND ON THE FLOOR
----------------------------------------------------------------

When you are overpowered and on the floor , :

1. He might try to jump onto you before attacking ( see the photo). At these times , I would recommend that you try to poke his eyes and his face and pry him off using your finger nails.

Hey, welcome !

Hey ! I am Sarah and I love , um , sorry , I live in Dubai.Having spent 5 years as a policewoman in Denver ( now a homemaker in Dubai ) , I was surprised at the lack of even basic defensive skills women here know about.Back home , we always had those What-Should You-Do Programs on TV ( That was way back in 1998 ! ).And recently I read in a local newspaper about it and decided to kick-up this blog.
